چکیده
Chokeberry contains a wide range of biologically active substances with potential geroprotective activity. An ethanolic extract chokeberry ×Sorbaronia mitschurinii (ABE) has previously been found to have positive effect on the lifespan Drosophila melanogaster individuals in short-term exposure (two weeks). The present study evaluated effects ABE integrity D. intestinal barrier. This indicator is marker aging many model organisms (nematodes, fish, and flies) its appearance correlates risk age-dependent death. Brilliant Blue FCF, synthetic blue food coloring, was used as an barrier permeability. It that applied before age 2 weeks did not significantly affect males females. However, treatment at 4-5 resulted 3-fold reduction (p < 0.05) females compromised 8 compared untreated same age. Thus, use fruit middle leads delay onset defects

Age-associated cardiac dysfunction in Drosophila melanogaster.
The fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, has served as a valuable model/organism for the study of aging and was the first organism possessing a circulatory system to have its genome completely sequenced. However, little is known about the function of the heartlike organ of flies during the aging process. We have developed methods for studying cardiac function in vivo in adult flies. Using 2 diff...
متن کاملDecalepis hamiltonii root extract attenuates the age-related decline in the cognitive function in Drosophila melanogaster.
Age-associated accumulation of oxidative damage linked to decline of antioxidant defense mechanism, leads to impairment of cognitive function in many organisms. These damages can pass through generations and affect the cognitive quality of progenies. In Drosophila, classical olfactory conditioning results in the formation of different types of memory. Age-related memory impairment (AMI) causes ...

Background: Flubendiamide, comparatively a new pesticide designed to eradicate lepidopteran insect pests is known to have low risk to birds, mammals, fish, algae, honey bees, non-target arthropods, earthworms, soil macro- and micro-organisms, non-target plants as well as sewage treatment organisms; however, the risk assessment for aquatic invertebrates from metabolite could not be finalized wit...

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) has always known a versatile, aromatic herb and addition to being used as a food flavoring is also known medicinally for its powerful antioxidant activity, antibacterial and hepatoprotective properties. In this study we examined the effects of rosemary iextract on the lifespan and aging in Drosophila melanogaster against high-fat induced oxidative injury, an...

Article history: Received on: 31/07/2015 Revised on: 11/08/2015 Accepted on: 20/08/2015 Available online: 24/08/2015 Free radicals and oxidative stress are recognized as important factors in the biology of aging as well as in many age-related diseases. Dietary antioxidant plays a potential role in the reduction of age-related diseases. Many medicinal plants are rich source of antioxidants and p...
